Well I made it back to sunny San Diego and my ears are still ringing. New York was a blast. Got to hit up my favorite restaurants and some of my favorite Tattoo shops. Shakes and I finally made it over to Smith Street . Here is a great look into the shop and one of its talented artist.
That place is a tattoo shop. Hand painted flash from floor to ceiling. Machines humming stopping just long enough to say Hello. That place will make you question what you have been doing with your time. So what have I been doing with mine?
Well finally got to see The Bronx aboard this boat

The boat chugged around the Hudson River giving us up close views of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. The Bronx murdered it. The area was tiny and the ship was a rockin but they ripped through their first album front to back. Unbelievable show! Even though I couldn’t see any of it.

While I was in the city I met up with one of my favorite Dansk Mark and his beautiful girlfriend Karina. They where in from Copenhagen for her birthday. I got to give them their first American BBQ experience!

Karina was not excited about the rat situation in New York. They are everywhere even your favorite bar. Rats need a drink too.
OF course I had some great food while I was in New York. I went to one of my favorites with Jay. Its called The Meatball Shop.

Of course I banged out some sweet tatties while I was out and about.

Finished the carnival show on Jason

Did these guys on a very talented friend of mine Emily. Check out her work.

Did this on P-Berry.

Thanks Conor!

Made a new friend. Thanks Kate.

Put some more work in this guy for Chris.

Did this spot filler on a really good friend of mine. It was good catching up with him.

Well I haven’t posted a new blog in a looong while. So where to start. I moved to back to the left coast a few days before Christmas and I am now currently tattooing at Guru Tattoo in Pacific Beach. Its a great shop to call home. Being in the sunshine and the heat was a very welcome change from the Scandinavian cold.

Made it down to Tijuana with my good friend and roommate Eno and Jana the Swedish Ice Queen keeping Tijuana cool with watered down tequila and cervaza. Eno is a very talented tattooer check out his work here
Saw this Nazi Homer in a TJ swap shop. WTF??!!

Here is my other roommate Georgia Mooose!!

The Moose and I frequent this spot. Dog Beach is the shit!!

These guys got the right idea. Take it easy and fuck the rest!

And of course some tattoos.
Did these on a couple celebrating their two year anniversary.

Well it has been a while since I have posted but I have a lot to share now! My travels began in Boston where I met my boy Rus. We caught a train to New Jersey to catch up with Scott.
Got to see this beautiful view. This city never gets old.

Had few beers on the Jersey transit.

We made the long drive through New York to Montreal for the convention. First stop Poutine!!

Montreal is always a good time got to see these ugly mugs.

From Montreal I headed back to New York for a quick weeks worth of work at www.threekingstattoo.com. The guys and gals there are great people. If you happen to be in Brooklyn look’em up.

I went home to Atlanta for about two weeks and saw this!! Don’t ask.

Finally I landed in San Diego and saw all of this.

My uncle.

Bear Fight!!

Adam and I watched this guy eat his own shit.

Seen HonkeyKong battle and elephant. After this pic he pulled the beast to the ground and ate it’s still beating heart.

I got religion

Elephant meat dinner. Thanks Adam!

From here Europe! And hopefully some tattoo pics..maybe?
Well I survived! What you ask? The worst heat wave New York has had in years. Did I let that slow me down??Kind of. The trip was still a great success on several levels. I got see some old friends, make new ones and do some great tattoos.
This where I spent most of my time. Thanks again to everyone at Daredevil Tattoo for making me feel very welcomed.

One of the first things I did was tattoo a really good friend of mine Toby. He wanted a zombie viking and I was of course more than happy to provide.

Here is a piece I did on another good friend Angelo. He and Jay are in a great band called Descender. Google it!

One thing I realized while I was in New York was how many talented tattoo artist are there. I had to bump my work up right next to some of my favorites. This guy was covered in great work from Michelle form Daredevil.

I did get to take some time off and be a tourist. Although with the crazy heat, I didn’t mind being inside. But there was some incredible things to look at in the lower eastside.
The one the only Mike Giant..How did he do this?

Then I came across this and though Hell Yes! The New Museum.

Being surrounded by tall buildings and narrow streets you forget where you are sometimes until you look up and see views like this then you remember. Oh yeah I’m in fucking New York!

I started doing house call tattoos on some friends. Its been a while since I have done any kitchen tattoos. Ghetto style!
I did these two on Val and Larry. Congrats on getting married guys!

They also had the best address ever!

From here Jay and I made our way over to Two Arms Inc. to do a couple more kitchen tattoos.
Couple of screen printing squeegees. Thanks again for the website guys!

Last but not least I tattooed my friend Jay before I took a car to the airport. Fun little banger!

Well, thanks to everyone for making this a great trip even witt the heat and the smell of hot garbage, New York is still the place to be.
